Job Summary:

Transtech Engineers, Inc. is requesting resumes for a Permit Technician opportunity! The qualified candidate must have knowledge of City organization, operations, policies, procedures, customer service standards, and protocols.

Skills:

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Customer Service skills including good with people, position will require constant interaction with the public
• Entering information into a computer system with speed and accuracy and maintaining electronic files
• Providing effective customer service and dealing tactfully and courteously with the public
• Maintaining accurate and interrelated technical records
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers and the public
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Willing to train

Knowledge of:

• City organization, operations, policies, and procedures
• Customer service standards and protocols
• Basic principles of application permitting
• Applicable City, County, State, and Federal laws, codes, and regulations
• Business and personal computers, and standard software applications
• Record keeping and file maintenance principles and procedures

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Minimum of 1-year Experience as a Permit Technician with a private or public agency
• Preferred: Certification from the International Code Council (ICC) as a Permit Technician or ability to obtain within three months of employment
